Coaching to WOW provides your leaders with the strategic coaching process that helps them to drive sustained change. This is more than a training class! We are changing the way your leadership team thinks about your performance and the behaviors that are helping and hindering your success! Are your leaders coaching but when you observe the interactions between your employees and your customers who are not WOWed by what you see and hear? Too often leaders think that they are coaching to simply check off a box that they have conducted coaching sessions. It is important that everyone in your organization recognizes that the goal of coaching is not to review reports; the goal of coaching is to change performance.
The Journey to WOW provides your organization with a strategic mentoring process that includes the specific behaviors of how to coach off the operational floor in private and how to effectively coach on the operational floor to provide immediate feedback. Through this journey, your organization will gain an increased understanding of the behaviors that create success and how to hire, train, coach, measure and hold everyone accountable for achieving these behaviors.
Leadership behaviors that are taught and practiced during this behavioral management process include:
- Focusing on the employee's behaviors that are having the greatest impact on your organization's goals.
- Utilizing positive and confident word choice that helps to hold employees accountable.
- Deploying creative and strategic methods of driving change since each employee is unique and requires different types of reinforcement in order to change their behaviors.
- Asking all the right questions to guide the coaching session and dig deep into why the employee is not performing and how the leadership team can best support their growth.
- Acknowledging the employees to inspire them, encourage them to participate in their performance plan and support them in their discussion contributions.
- Holding the employee accountable for changing their performance and committing to a process of ongoing growth.
Process Logistics
- Conference calls are held with your leadership team to begin their learning process. They receive homework assignments prior to the onsite training class to ensure that they are changing their mind-set as to the behaviors that are occurring in your organization that do not meet your standards.
- Onsite assessment and meetings are held to promote this process, identify your needs and begin to change your culture.
- Documentation is customized with the assistance of your Project Team to ensure that everything we teach and reinforce are the desired standards of your organization. We are writing your Range of Tolerance which defines all the behaviors that you want to train to, coach to and hold everyone accountable to achieving. This documentation can include audio exampels of the desired behaviors as well.
- Onsite training classes are held for your leadership team. A small class size is recommended to promote a lot of discussion and practice. We can also facilitate this learning as a webinar with optional days of reinforcement. Range of Tolerance training is conducted to teach the behaviors and ensure that your leadership knows what the behaviors should be and what they are looking for as the standards of excellence. Coaching to WOW training teaches the methodology of off-the-floor and on-the-floor coaching.
- Reinforcement is then provided over the phone or onsite. Books, posters, calendars and other tangible items remind everyone of the new behavioral management philosophy that you are embracing. The goal is to create a strong and consistent leadership team that inspires your employees to reach higher levels of performance.
